Beginner Product Demonstration / Use - A BlocksCAD instructor gives a demonstration of BlocksCAD platform and lessons. They will summarize the key aspects of the early student experience in BlocksCAD, provide an overview of the available lessons and example subset progressions, demonstrate the teaching and classroom management tools, and highlight possible cross-curricular extensions and applications.

Computational Thinking in Mathematics: Looking to integrate and highlight computational thinking skills in math classes? A BlocksCAD instructor will demonstrate the applicability of all BlocksCAD building to numerical reasoning, geometry, algebraic problem solving and computer programming, and will highlight up to four age-appropriate, standards aligned lesson plans where STEM skills are used to address specific mathematical standards through the lenses of design and computer science. Participants will learn how to use BlocksCAD, and how to teach and support computational thinking through these specific lessons, while having their students create 3D models suitable for printing on a 3D printer.

Computational Thinking and 3D Design: Making computational thinking hands on! A BlocksCAD instructor will demonstrate the intersections between 3D design and computational thinking, and how 3D modeling can support computer programming basic concepts such as sequences of instructions, variables, loops, modules, comments, debugging and coding best practices. Participants will learn how to use BlocksCAD, and how to teach and support computational thinking through 3D design focused lessons that lead to printable 3D models.

Personalized Standards-Based Lesson Integration: Does your school or district use very specific standards in math, computer science, or life sciences? Our team will customize a professional development workshop to show you how to integrate BlocksCAD into your lessons.
